I improve how businesses work

Business strategist · Systems thinker · Operator

I improve
how businesses
work.

I study businesses, systems, operations, AI, and markets to understand why they succeed — and why they don't. Then I apply those insights to build stronger organizations, smarter decisions, and better outcomes.

Most people feel overwhelmed not because they lack information, but because they're drowning in noise.

My work lives in the space between raw information and real decisions — where patterns are identified, assumptions are tested, and clarity replaces guesswork. I study systems, data, and human behavior to understand what's actually happening before deciding what to do next.

Areas of focus

Capabilities, not services

Business Strategy

Positioning, competitive analysis, and long-range thinking for organizations that want to move with intention.

Operations

How work actually gets done. Diagnosing inefficiency, redesigning workflows, building systems that scale.

Business Intelligence

Turning data into decision-ready insight. Dashboards that inform rather than decorate.

AI Strategy

Where AI actually fits in your operation — and where it doesn't. Applied, not theoretical.

Decision Systems

Building the infrastructure around how choices get made, from data flow to executive reporting.

Process Improvement

Observation → diagnosis → redesign. Removing friction without removing humanity from the work.

How I think

Philosophy
I.

Systems over symptoms

Most problems aren't solved at the point where they're visible. The cause lives upstream. I work backward from effects to find what's actually generating them.

II.

Data before opinions

Opinions are easy. Evidence is harder. I start with what's actually measurable, then build judgment from there — not the other way around.

III.

Experiment over assumption

The fastest way to know if something works is to test it carefully, not debate it endlessly. Build a small, safe experiment. Read the result. Adjust.

IV.

AI amplifies thinking

AI is a force multiplier for people who already think clearly. For everyone else, it's just faster noise. I use it to amplify signal, not produce more output.

V.

Clarity begins with observation

Before strategy. Before solutions. Before any advice. I watch. I listen. I try to see what's actually happening — not what I expect to see.

VI.

Freedom through better systems

A well-designed system creates space. When operations run well, leaders can actually lead. That's what good systems engineering is ultimately for.

Working together

"I occasionally work with founders, operators, and organizations looking to improve how their businesses function."

If our thinking aligns, I'd be happy to start a conversation. I'm selective about engagements — not because I'm inaccessible, but because doing the work well requires genuine attention.
